Trip to Chilka Lake

The Chilka Lake was our next trip. It is one of the largest salt water lakes in Asia. We went in a long, broad, and narrow boat to the lake. On our way we saw crocodiles swimming as fast as a speed boat and were as green as dark green leaves. The boat ride was wobbly and the splashing waves made me feel like swimming in the blue persian lake. We stopped at an island, where we saw shiny pearls coming out of shells, and we saw dark black pearls as black as the dark night sky. The red corals, persian blue saphires, green emeralds seemed like gold to me. The flashing , attractive red rubies were for my 10th birthday. The most interesting view I saw was the sea meeting the lake, it was one of the beautiful sites I have ever seen.

  3. Very nice post. Chilka lake is known as the largest brackish water lake in Asia. Also, the journey from Puri to Chilka Lake will itself charm you as it brings alive the rustic life of Orissa. Puri is part of the Char Dham pilgrimages and also one of the 7 holy Indian cities. Click here to know about hotels in Puri offering comfortable accommodation in decent prices.
